At Sanders Services we understand your obligation to provide timely service to your customers. This includes the
resolution of damaged freight claims.
When you request an inspection from Sanders a trained and experienced inspector will personally contact your
consignee within 24 hours. Arrangements will be made for the inspector to come to the designated location to
inspect the freight and its protective packaging.
A detailed, computer generated report, along with digital photographs of the packaging and alleged product damage
will be completed and e-mailed directly to you (see sample). A copy of the inspection report will also transmitted to
the consignee. Most inspections are completed within 3 business days. Rush (same day/next day) inspections are
available.
To further save you time and simplify the claims process, Sanders Services offers you an additional Supplemental
Report. This confidential report specifically comments on statements made by the consignee that might affect the
claim, suggestions to mitigate costs, packaging deficiencies, and the inspector’s opinion as to the cause of the
damage (sample supplemental report).
Carriers have a legal obligation to inspect reportedly damaged freight within 5 business days of notification. Sanders
Services will provide you with the facts you’ll need to quickly and equitably resolve your claims.
